Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Guess who had the day off today?! That's right, we had a snow day today!

All day Monday people at work were talking about the coming snow and getting all worried. Being from Texas, I have to say people go a little overboard when it snows there. I always though that people in the northeast kept it a little more together than those in the south. I was wrong. By 11:00 yesterday (Tuesday), the administrators of the hand center had already cancelled work for today (Wednesday). Even schools and businesses in Texas don't do that! They were acting like a blizzard was headed our way. But, I won't argue with them. I'll take a snow day any day, especially since Wednesday is my longest day to be at work.

Last night I was to meet with Lance. I needed to get in a good run, so I headed to the gym a little early. Well, every member of the gym must have had the same idea as me because every treadmill and elliptical was taken. Boo! So, I had to take it to the streets, well sidewalks. I was in shorts but at least had my jacket. I was about 1/4 mile into my run and it started snowing. I couldn't believe it. At first it was just a little snow. Then it just started coming down. I had about 40 minutes to run and I wasn't going to let a little snow get in my way. I sure did get a few crazy looks though. I can say that was a first though...running in shorts while it's snowing. After my run I had another tough but great workout with Lance and then I headed home. By now, it was really snowing and starting to accumulate on the ground. So pretty!

This morning when I woke up, there wasn't too much snow on the ground and it wasn't snowing. But as the day went on, it really started to snow and fewer and fewer cars were on the road. I wanted to venture to the Art Museum, but nobody wanted to go with me and I wasn't too keen on the 2 1/2 mile walk. So, I've stayed in and studied, cleaned, and gotten lots done. Sometimes you just need a day like that. Oh, and I just got a text that said we don't have to be at work until 10:00 tomorrow. Yay!!!
